LeGarrette Blount day in Perry, Florida on February 28th, 2015
I heard LeGarrette Blount was having a welcome home party in his hometown of Perry, Florida which is 45 minutes from Tallahassee. Figured it should be a fun way to close a great season.
I called Dawn at the Perry Chamber of Commerce to see how I could help. Since the parade was short notice they did not have much Patriots gear. As head of the Atlanta Patriots Club I grabbed our banners and drove down Friday night for the 12pm Saturday parade. LeGarrette's mother Barbara was also helping coordinate the festivities. When I asked how I could help they said they needed a driver; so I got to drive LeGarrette, his mom, dad and daughter in the parade.
Fortunately, I brought a Patriots' Fight Song created by Hardcore Montana of the Memphis Club "Till We Die."
LeGarrette like it so much we asked how to get a copy. Fortunately, I brought the CD to give him :) Hope you enjoy the link link above too !!
After the meet & greet which LeGarrette stayed for over 3 hours and signed autographs for 400-500 people he took photos with me, signed 3 of our Patriots banners & tablecloth, my Blount jersey and personalized 10 photos for my family members and leaders of the Atlanta and Memphis clubs. They also gave me plenty of the extra signed photos for our club members which I can't wait to share on Draft Night & opening night. A great weekend !!!
Now I regret not also driving the 6 hours to Mississippi for Malcolm Butler's victory parade 2-3 weeks prior:(
