PFC, Boston

Club Information

PFC, Boston began as a scheduled email reminder between three female hardcore Patriots fans (also moms) listing schedules and scores -- a much desired quick update that was deeply valued when too busy with the kids to sit during the game. Over time it evolved into a micro enewsletter with highlights that might have been missed. The list grew and along with it, the activities engaged in. For childcare purposes, the ladies began swapping nights so the others could enjoy the game. This worked! Fascinated by the ladies, friends and family joined the list and momentum. Since then, PFC (then unnamed) has grown to be less of a group by convenience or neccesity and more of a group by desire and interest. Today, PFC has a base of 11 core members and their families who actively plan game night arrangements, meetups (meetup.com), go to games and do other activities together. PFC meets on game nights in various locations that are either voted on or drawn from a lottery. Members that can't make it continue to enjoy the list (now delivered by SMS) and sometimes video conference in using Tango. The clubs next venture is to put up a website (now under construction) to streamline the groups communication and to make new friends with the same interest.
